District 6 officers were patrolling in the area of Grand and Natural Bridge when they observed a car with apparent ballistic damage and a damaged front windshield run a red light around 6:50 p.m. on September 6.
The officers pulled the car over and found a 20-year-old woman, who was the passenger in the car, shot in the arm. Officers immediately applied a tourniquet. EMS responded and took the woman to an area hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
The driver of the vehicle, another 20-year-old woman, told officers that a man she only knew by nickname jumped on her vehicle and damaged the windshield.
The woman attempted to drive away from the area when the man pulled out a gun and shot into the vehicle, injuring the 20-year-old woman who was the passenger in the vehicle.
