Accident Reconstruction is investigating a critical pedestrian accident that occurred on October 3 in Walnut Park East.
A preliminary investigation revealed that around 7:45 p.m., a 2009 Mazda 6 was travelling westbound on W. Florissant Ave approaching Beacon Ave. At that time, an unidentified male was crossing mid-block and not in a crosswalk when he was struck by the Mazda 6.
EMS responded and transported the pedestrian to the hospital where he was listed in critical/unstable condition. The driver of the Mazda remained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
