UPDATE: Pedestrian Hit, Killed on W. Florissant, Vehicle Wanted

Update: On June 29, Detectives arrested a 23-year-old woman in connection to this incident.

The Circuit Attorney’s Office issued the following charges: 2nd Degree Involuntary Manslaughter and Leaving the Scene of Accident Resulting in Death.


UPDATE: The pedestrian has been identified as 58-year-old Lionell Alexander of St. Louis City.


6th District Detectives are seeking the below pictured SUV and the woman that was driving it in connection to this incident. The vehicle, described as a light-colored Mercury Mountaineer, had a Missouri Temp Tag on the rear. The driver of the vehicle was described as a black female, 20-30 years old, heavy build, medium complexion with a mole on the left side of her face, and wearing a bonnet.

Accident Reconstruction has been requested to investigate a deadly pedestrian crash that occurred around 7:30pm on June 20th.

A preliminary investigation reveals a vehicle traveling northbound on Pope turned onto W. Florissant when it struck a pedestrian.

After the collision, the striking vehicle left the scene.

The pedestrian, a man, was rushed to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Positive identification and next of kin notification are pending.

The investigation remains ongoing.
