District 4 officers responded to an area hospital for a Shooting-Prior call, shortly after 12:00 a.m. on July 5.
Four victims were privately driven to the hospital after being shot near 8th and Pine.
The victims told officers they were walking together when they heard gunfire and began to run, before realizing they had been shot.
These victims, two men ages 20 and 18, and two women both 18, were all listed as stable.
An officer also responded around the same time to a report of a Shooting near 7th and Chestnut. A 13-year-old was found at that location with a gunshot wound.
EMS transported the 13-year-old to an area hospital where he was listed as stable.
Also around the same time, officers received a call to another area hospital after two men were privately driven to that hospital with gunshot wounds.
The men, both 23-years-old, told officers they were near 7th and Chestnut watching individuals illegally discharging fireworks when they felt pain and realized they had been shot.
The men asked a passing driver to take them to a hospital for treatment. They were both listed as stable.
The investigation is ongoing.
