District 4 officers responded to calls for Shots Fired in the 900 block of S. Broadway around 6:15 a.m. on August 18.
Officers located a scene and shell casings on the parking lot of the BP Gas Station at 902 S. Broadway.
While on scene officers were advised that the 2 men had been dropped off at an area hospital with gunshot wounds.
Officers responded to the hospital and were unable to speak to the victims who were in surgery. Both men are believed to be in their late teens or 20s. They were both in critical condition when taken to surgery.
The individuals were drove the men to the hospital indicated they were all sitting in a vehicle parked on the lot when they suddenly heard gunfire and realized the men had been shot. They drove the men to the hospital for treatment.
