District 3 officers responded to the Walgreens at 1530 Lafayette around 6:30 p.m. on October 26 for a Hold Up.
A 31-year-old woman, who is a security guard for Walgreens, told officers that she went to confront a woman in her 30s, who was exiting the store with 3 children, after the woman set off the security sensors.
The security guard observed stolen merchandise in the woman’s purse and the woman began to argue with the security guard.
A 55-year-old man who is also an employee of Walgreens came outside when the woman in her 30s punched the security guard in the face.
The woman then retrieved a can of mace and sprayed mace in the faces of both the security guard and the 55-year-old man.
The woman and her children drove away in a gray SUV.
