District 3 is investigating a robbery that happened on December 23 in the 1200 block of Wharf.
A 19-year-old male told officers he was walking down Wharf at approximately 1:30 a.m. when two known male suspects approached him in a white Toyota Camry. The 19-year-old said both suspects exited the Toyota and one of the suspects pulled out a firearm. The teen said the suspect then struck him with the firearm in the face, causing his tooth to chip.
The 19-year-old said he was then robbed of his firearm and possessions by the other suspect before both suspects fled from the scene. The teen complained of facial pain but refused medical attention at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
