Teen Shot During Robbery in Dutchtown

District 3 is investigating a shooting that happened during a robbery around 7:40 p.m. in the 3200 block of Chippewa.

Shortly before 7:45 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting and located a 19-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg in the 3400 block of Chippewa. The 19-year-old male told officers he was walking home from a restaurant when two unknown male suspects emerged from an unknown direction and demanded his body bag. The 19-year-old said he handed over his bag and then the suspects fired gunshots at him, striking him in the leg.

EMS responded and transported the 19-year-old to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Officers located the shooting scene in the 3200 block of Chippewa. The investigation is ongoing.1
