District 4 is investigating a shooting that injured a teen on July 25 in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood.
Around 8:40 p.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting victim at a local hospital after a 16-year-old male was dropped off with a gunshot wound to his thigh. The victim told officers he was walking with two other friends shortly before 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Sullivan & Garrison when they heard gunshots and the 16-year-old was struck. They responded to a relatives’ house after the shooting and then the 16-year-old victim was privately conveyed to the hospital.
