Woman Found Dead and Burned on Switzer

UPDATE:

The dead woman has been identified as 21-year-old Kiya Holt-Biggs of Granite City Illinois.

The Circuit Attorney’s Office has issued At-Large warrants for Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action against a 21-year-old man who investigators believe is responsible for the homicide. Investigators believe the 21-year-old man has fled St. Louis, and possibly the state of Missouri, to avoid arrest.

District 6 officers responded to a Call for Police in the 1200 block of Switzer around 8:30 p.m. on October 19.

Officers found an unidentified woman, believed to be in her 20s, on a parking lot. The woman was not conscious, not breathing, and had been set on fire.

EMS responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
