District 3 is investigating a robbery that occurred on September 11 in Dutchtown.
At approximately 12:15 a.m., officers received a call relative to a robbery that occurred at Osage Street & S. Compton Avenue. A 49-year-old woman told officers she was walking on Osage from S. Compton when a male suspect walked past her then summonsed her attention. The woman said when she turned around, a second unknown man approached her with a revolver and demanded her purse.
The woman said after she relinquished her purse to the second suspect, three additional males told the second suspect to take the woman’s money out her purse then give her purse back. The second suspect took the woman’s money and then all five suspects ran from the scene.
