District 5 is investigating a robbery that happened at 12 a.m. on November 14 at Highland Ave & N. Kingshighway Blvd.
A 26-year-old woman gave officers inconsistent statements. However, she claims she was riding with a male suspect, who she only knows by nickname, when he asked her to pull over at the above-mentioned location. Once she pulled over, the woman said the suspect began showing aggression, produced a handgun and then demanded her cell phone.
The woman said she relinquished her phone to the suspect and then he struck her with the firearm and fled from the car. She declined medical attention.
