District 4 is investigating a stabbing that injured a 46-year-old woman around 2:50 p.m. on October 14 in the 4100 block of N. Grand.
The 46-year-old woman told officers she was walking up to a liquor store when she was approached by an unknown female suspect who asked to see the 46-year-old woman’s knife, which was in her waistband. The 46-year-old woman said when she refused, the suspect became enraged, attacked her, and then took her knife.
The 46-year-old woman said the suspect stabbed her with the knife. The woman then walked home and contacted police.
EMS responded and transported the 46-year-old woman to the hospital for treatment of a stab wound to the side her torso. She was listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
