Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a man dead, and two others injured, on June 8, 2025 in Baden.
Shortly after 5 p.m., officers received a shooting call in the 8300 block of N. Broadway. Upon arriving, they located a 22-year-old man and an 8-year-old girl on the Elite Supermarket parking lot. The 22-year-old man was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The 8-year-old girl suffered a graze wound to her arm.
A short time later, a 25-year-old man was located a block away in the 8200 block of N. Broadway. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.
A preliminary investigation revealed the three victims were sitting inside a vehicle when an unknown male suspect opened fire on their vehicle. It is believed a disturbance preceded the shooting. EMS responded and pronounced the 22-year-old man dead at the scene. He has been identified as Michael Maxon of Castle Point, MO. The 8-year-old girl and 25-year-old man were transported to the hospital for treatment and listed in stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing.
