Update on July 29 at 10 a.m.:
A 31-year-old St. Louis man was arrested in connection to this incident. He has been charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action by the Circuit Attorney’s Office.
Homicide detectives have identified the victim as 29-year-old Fletcher Coats of St. Louis City, MO.
Original Post on June 28 at 9:39 a.m.:
Homicide detectives are investigating after a shooting in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood left a 29-year-old man dead.
District 4 officers responded to a call for a Shooting-Just Occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the 2500 block of N. Grand on June 28. The 29-year-old man was located unresponsive in the alley. He was transported by EMS to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
