District 5 detectives are investigating a shooting that injured a 33-year-old male on June 23 in the 800 block of N. Kingshighway.
At 12:40 p.m., officers received a call for a “Shooting” and located the man on the street near an alley. He was suffering from gunshot wounds and would not answer officers’ questions regarding what occurred. However, a preliminary scene investigation by officers suggests the victim and suspect were walking together prior to the shooting.
EMS responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
