District 2 officers responded to a Shooting in the 4200 block of Ellenwood, just after 2:00 p.m. on July 3.
A 70-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Preliminary information indicates that 2-3 suspects shot the man before getting into a black Mercedes and fleeing the area.
EMS transported the 70-year-old man to an area hospital where he was listed in critical/stable condition.
The vehicle was later located abandoned near Kingshighway and Oleatha.
The investigation is ongoing.
