On July 23, 2024, Accident Reconstruction investigators were advised the pedestrian in this incident was pronounced deceased on July 22, 2024 at the hospital. She has been identified as 65-year-old Kathy Terry of St. Louis.

District 6 officers responded to a Person Struck on W. Florissant near Summit just before 10:00 p.m. on July 5.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a blue GMC Sierra was traveling eastbound on W. Florissant when an unidentified woman was walking southbound across the street.
The 57-year-old man driving the Sierra struck the woman as she walked into the path of his vehicle.
The woman was transported by EMS to an area hospital where she was listed in critical/unstable condition.
The man driving the Sierra remained on scene.
Accident Reconstruction responded and assumed the ongoing investigation.
