District 5 is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on July 19 in The Ville neighborhood.
Around 1:10 a.m., officers responded to a call for a hold up and located a 30-year-old male victim. The man told officers he was in the 3600 block of Cora waiting on a ride when he was approached by two men with guns. The victim said the suspects forced him to the ground, demanded his property, and then patted him down. During the pat down, the victim said the suspects discovered his personal firearm and took it. Both suspects fled after the incident.
The victim was not injured during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
