Homicide detectives have identified the deceased man as 34-year-old Don Devargas of St. Louis County, MO.
Original post on July 28 at 10:46 a.m.:
District 5 officers responded to report of a dead body inside of a vacant residence in the 4700 block of Cote Brilliante around 2:30 p.m. on July 27.
EMS and the Fire Department responded as well. The Fire Department forced entry into the vacant residence.
An unidentified man was discovered in advanced stages of decomposition.
Ballistic evidence was located near the body and the man’s clothing evidenced apparent bullet holes.
