District 4 is investigating a robbery that occurred during the early morning hours on August 4 in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood.
Around 4:20 a.m., the victim said she was pulled over at Natural Bridge & N. Garrison Avenues to check her deflated tire after striking a median. While outside of the car changing the tire, the victim advised a silver Chevy Malibu approached and parked across from her. At that time, a female suspect exited the Malibu and approached the victim. The female suspect took the victim’s cell phone from the ground as the victim was gathering her belongings. The victim said when she confronted the female suspect, a brief struggle ensued, and a male suspect exited the Malibu armed with a firearm and told the victim not to touch the female suspect.
After the struggle, the female suspect returned the victim’s phone to the victim but took money from the victim’s purse. Both suspects then fled in the Malibu. The victim was not injured during the incident.
