District 6 officers responded to a Carjacking-Just Occurred in the 5000 block of Durant shortly after midnight on August 7.
A 43-year-old man reported 2 suspects in dark clothing robbing him of his 2015 blue Chevrolet Malibu at gunpoint.
A short time later the RTCC alerted officers to the vehicle being in the area of St. Louis and Vandeventer. Officers responded to the area and attempted to stop the vehicle.
The vehicle fled and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended near San Francisco and Cora where 3 suspects ran from the vehicle. 1 suspect made good his escape and officers took 2 juveniles, age 14 and 15, into custody.
The vehicle was returned to the owner and a firearm was recovered.
The juveniles were conveyed to the Juvenile Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
