District 2 officers were requested to an area hospital in the early morning hours of August 6 for a 31-year-old woman who was unconscious and showed signs of being the victim of sexual assault.
Officers learned that the woman had been transported by EMS from the 4300 block of N. Florissant, in District 4, just after 12:00 a.m. on August 6.
The woman never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead at 9:48 a.m. on today’s date, August 10.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the manner and cause of death.
Investigation into the sexual assault is ongoing.
