District 1 officers responded to a Shooting at a residence in the 4700 block of Nebraska around 10:00 p.m. on August 23.
A 33-year-old man had been shot in the abdomen. He was transported by EMS to an area hospital where he was immediately taken into surgery. He was listed in critical/stable condition.
A witness told officers that the 33-year-old man insulted his roommate, a 44-year-old man. The 44-year-old man produced a firearm and shot the 33-year-old man.
The 44-year-old man left in his vehicle prior to police responding.
Investigators are actively seeking the 44-year-old man. The investigation is ongoing.
