District 5 officers responded to an area hospital around 8:15 p.m. on August 24 after a 21-year-old woman had been shot and taken there by a friend.
Officers were told that the 21-year-old woman had been inside of a residence in the 3400 block of Selber Court with another man and the woman who drove her to the hospital. The group was drinking alcohol and using recreational marijuana.
The 26-year-old man produced a revolver and asked if the 21-year-old woman wanted to play “Russian Roulette”. The man pointed the revolver at himself and pulled the trigger.
The 21-year-old woman was looking down when she immediately felt pain and realized she had been shot.
The 26-year-old man and the revolver were located inside of the residence and the man was arrested.
The investigation is ongoing.
