District 1 officers are investigating a shooting that injured two men on September 3 in the Carondelet neighborhood.
The two men, 42 and 58 years old, reported that around 10:30 a.m., they were at a gas station in the 500 block of Bates when an unknown male suspect became irate for unknown reasons. The men said the suspect slapped their vehicle several times which led to an argument between the men and the suspect.
The men said when they entered their vehicle and proceeded to leave, the suspect produced a firearm and shot at them. One of the men was struck in the arm while the other was struck in the hand.
EMS responded and transported the victims to the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
