Four Arrested by ACTF During Attempt Robbery in Dutchtown

Two 18-year-old males, one 19-year-old male, and a 17-year-old male were taken into custody for an attempt robbery on September 19 in Dutchtown.

Around 1:15 p.m., Anti-Crime Task Force detectives were patrolling in the area of Chippewa and Giles when they saw the four suspects following a man. Detectives surveilled the suspects and witnessed one of them clutching a firearm that had an extended magazine.

As the suspects approached the man they were following, one of the 18-year-old suspects displayed a handgun and attempted to rob the man. When the Anti-Crime detectives witnessed that happening, they immediately exited their car and announced their presence.

The suspects took off running, and a foot pursuit of the suspects was initiated. All four suspects were apprehended. Three were found to be in possession of handguns. The 18-and-19-year-olds were taken into custody. The 17-year-old was remanded to the St. Louis Juvenile Division. The investigation remains ongoing.
