Update:
The deceased man has been identified as 38-year-old Justin Foree of the 4800 block of E. Concord Rd, Concord, MO.
On January 4, 2025 at 11pm, District 4 officers responded to a call for an accident on the entrance ramp for the Poplar Street Bridge from I-55 Northbound. When officers arrived, they located a vehicle that crashed into the back of a tractor trailer. The adult male driver of the vehicle was found unresponsive and died on scene.
The Accident Reconstruction Unit responded is conducting an investigation. Preliminary findings show that the tractor trailer was stalled in the far left lane with its hazard lights on and safety triangles out.
While the driver of the tractor trailer was awaiting emergency services, the tractor trailer was struck from behind. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured during this incident.
The identity of the man who died on scene is pending.
