We continue to increase our police presence in Fox Park where there was a shooting late last month.

Over the holiday weekend, District 3 officers received calls for individuals firing guns and discharging fireworks in the park.

When officers arrived, they saw several individuals wearing ski masks and man bags. These guns, two of which are equipped with conversion devices (making them fully automatic) were taken off the streets. Officers also seized these fireworks.

Three adults and two juveniles were taken into custody.

The Circuit Attorney's Office issued charges against an 18-year-old man for 2 counts of Unlawful Possession of Illegal Weapon.

The two juveniles were taken to Juvenile Detention.
