Welcome From Major Pierre Benoist

Greetings,

As a Major with thirty years of service, I understand that excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to successful command and community service. Throughout my career I have worked as an officer and/or a supervisor within in District One, District 7, District 8, Vice/Narcotics, the Intelligence Division, the Internal Affairs Division, the Warrant & Fugitive Division as well as with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). After being promoted to a Captain, I was fortunate enough to serve as the Commander of District 4. All of these assignments have prepared me for my current position as the Commander of the Central Patrol Division since being promoted to Major.

The Central Patrol Division encompasses the most diverse areas in the city with regards to activities and events that occur within its borders. While having a large area of residential neighborhoods, including several public housing complexes, it is also home to the biggest entertainment areas within the city. At any given time, hundreds of thousands of people descend on these areas. This flux requires us to be prepared and adaptable to handle everything from traffic control to calls for service to ensure all citizens enjoy their experience in the city. I look forward to working through these challenges with community members and stakeholders, as cooperation is the key to ensuring a safe and productive city.

Thank you,
Major Pierre Benoist
Commander, Central Patrol

I am a proud graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy Class #281. I hold a master’s degree in criminal justice administration from Lindenwood University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Webster University. I also served a tour of duty in the United States Army.

Greetings,

My name is Christian Stamper, District Four Captain with the SLMPD. I can’t express enough how proud I am to serve as the Captain of District Four. Our Fourth Police District is very important to the overall success of the City of St. Louis, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I am excited to work with the diverse range of neighborhoods, businesses and residents within the district to make our community a safe place to live, work and visit.
