A 46-year-old man is dead, and a 47-year-old man is in custody following a shooting in the Baden neighborhood.
On October 31, 2025, just before 11pm, District 6 officers responded to the 8400 block of Gast Pl. for a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a 46-year-old man who had been shot. He was not conscious and barely breathing.
The man was transported the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and assumed the investigation. A preliminary investigation was conducted which led to a suspect being identified and located. A 47-year-old man was taken into custody a short distance away from the scene of the shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing.
