District 1 is investigating a burglary incident that occurred on August 4 in the Bevo Mill neighborhood.
At approximately 2:45 p.m., officers received a call for a “cutting” at a residence in the 3800 block of Eichelberger. Upon arriving, a 32-year-old male victim told officers that around 2:30 p.m., a known male suspect kicked in his locked door. The victim said the suspect confronted him and accused the victim of stealing his property. During the confrontation, the victim said the suspect swung a machete and cut the victim on the arm and hand. The suspect fled from the scene after the incident.
