District 5 detectives are investigating a shooting where a man was injured on July 25 in The Greater Ville neighborhood.
Shortly after 10:45 p.m., officers were called to a St. Louis County hospital after the victim, a 34-year-old man, responded with a graze wound to his leg. The man told officers around 3 p.m., he was walking in the 2800 block of Sarah when an alleged shootout occurred and he was struck. The victim said he delayed contacting police and going to the hospital due to childcare issues.
The victim was listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
