Man Robbed at Gunpoint While Sleeping In Car Near 10th & Cass

District 4 detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred during the early morning hours on June 25 near 10th & Cass.

At 1:45 a.m., officers received call for a “Carjacking” and located the victim, a 46-year-old man, at a gas station on North 13th Street. The victim said he was sleeping in his car when a man he is familiar with woke him up and demanded his cell phone. The victim told officers he gave the man his cell phone and then the man fled from the scene. Immediately after that, the victim stated a second armed man and female entered the back seat of his car and ordered the victim to drive. The victim said he then drove to a nearby Mobile Gas Station in the 1500 block of N. 13th St. where he exited his car and then the two suspects fled in his car.

The victim’s car is described as a gray 2006 Toyota Avalon. No injuries were reported from this incident. The investigation is ongoing.
