On March 23, 2025 at approximately 1:35AM, District 6 officers responded to the 1000 block of Bittner St. for a cutting. When they arrived, they located a 38-year-old male lying on the porch, bleeding from his stomach.
The 38-year-old was conveyed to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
According to several varying witness statements, the victim and another known male suspect were having an argument, when things turned physical. Once the fight was broken up, the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle and the victim remained with a bleeding wound to his stomach.
It is unclear at this time if the wound was a result of being shot or stabbed as there are varying accounts from witnesses. The investigation remains ongoing.
