District 4 is investigating a robbery that occurred on July 11 in the Downtown West neighborhood.
The victims, a 32-year-old female and a 31-year-old male, reported that around 2:15 a.m., they were smoking in the parking lot of their residence in the 1700 block of Washington when four unknown males approached them in a black vehicle. Three of the males were wearing masks. All four of the suspects exited the vehicle and brandished handguns. The victims stated the suspects then went through the victims’ pockets, taking their cell phones, wallets and a car key. The four suspects fled in their black vehicle after the incident.
Neither victim was injured during the robbery. The investigation is ongoing.
