Fourth District detectives are looking for the person of interest pictured below for a shooting that occurred around 8:30 p.m. on September 18 near the area of Clark & S. Broadway.
During the incident, referenced in this X post, a 32-year-old man reported he was driving to work when his car was shot at by an unknown suspect. The 32-year-old then crashed his car into a nearby electric box. It was initially believed he may have been struck by the gunfire; however, investigation revealed he sustained a minor abrasion believed to be from the accident. He was taken into custody after being found in possession of a firearm and being a convicted felon.
Further investigation and review of Real Time Crime Center cameras showed the suspect vehicle was a blue Honda Civic. A person of interest, believed to be a male, was revealed to have been occupying that car earlier in the day, prior to the shooting incident.
