District 3 officers responded to a Shooting-Just Occurred in the 4100 block of Michigan shortly after 12:00 a.m. on July 5.
Officers were told by witnesses that there was a physical altercation between juveniles and that several adults attempted to intervene.
At some point, a 38-year-old woman responded inside of a residence and retrieved a firearm. She returned outside and fired several shots, striking a 40-year-old man.
EMS transported the man to an area hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
The woman was arrested and a firearm was seized.
The investigation is ongoing.
