Update: The 36-year-old woman has been identified as Rita Williams of the 3400 block of Minnesota.
Update: The location of occurrence was revealed to be in the 3900 block of Chouteau; however, the call for the shooting was received from the gas station lot.
Update: A 46-year-old female has been formally charged with Murder 1st Degree (F), Armed Criminal Action (F) and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (F) in the shooting death of the 36-year-old woman.
On February 1, 2025, at 4:55PM District 4 officers received a call for a shooting at the QuikTrip located at 904 S. Vandeventer. When they arrived, they were directed to a vehicle that was parked at a gas pump and located a 36-year-old woman who was shot.
The woman died at the scene.
A suspect was quickly identified and a 46-year-old woman was arrested a short distance away.
Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and are working with the Circuit Attorney’s Office to issue charges against the suspect.
