District 1 is investigating a shooting that injured a 33-year-old woman around 1 p.m. on November 5 in the 4400 block of Alaska.
The woman told officers she was walking on Alaska when she heard the sound of a gunshot behind her. At that point, she felt pain and realized she was struck.
EMS responded and transported the woman to the hospital where she was listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
