District 3 detectives are investigating a shooting that left an 18-year-old male injured on June 23 in the 900 block of Lasalle Park Court.
Shortly after 7:20 p.m., officers received a call for a “Shooting In Progress” and located the 18-year-old outside suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim stated he was outside in the parking lot when he heard gunfire and was struck. Three unoccupied cars were also struck by gunfire during the incident.
EMS responded and transported the victim to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
