Please refrain from walking in the street outside of the barricades. Travel in groups and set a meeting place with your friends and family in case you get separated. If you are driving, keep valuables out of view and park in designated parking areas only.

Do not drink and drive. SLMPD’s Traffic Safety Division and Missouri State Highway Patrol will be in full force.

The 2025 Mardi Gras Grand Parade will be held in Soulard on Saturday, March 1, 2025. This large neighborhood festival requires multiple street closures to ensure the safety of the residents and visitors.

Below are lists of significant closures that could impact travel in and around the Soulard and downtown area.

1 Highway Ramp Closures
  • Exit 206B: NB 55 at 3200 Broadway Off Ramp – Closed from approximately 6am-4pm
  • Exit 290C: NB 55 at Park Exit Ramp – Closed from approximately 6am-10pm
  • Entrance WB 64 Poplar and Broadway On-Ramp – Closed from approximately 6am-4pm
  • RT 100 (Chouteau) Broadway to 6th – Closing at approximately 6am
  • Exit 207A: NB 55 at Gravois / Russell Exit Ramp – Closing at approximately 2pm
  • Exit 206C: SB 55 at Arsenal Exit Ramp – Closed as needed by SLMPD
  • Exit 290A: Westbound 44 at Gravois- Closing at approximately 6am

2 Street Closures

The following streets will be closed starting at 3am on Saturday, March 1, 2025, until 2am Sunday March 2, 2025. All cars parked on these streets will be towed:

  • Carroll from 7th to 9th
  • Lafayette from Tucker to Broadway
  • Soulard from 10th to 7th
  • Emmet from Menard to 9th
  • Geyer from Gravois to Broadway
  • Allen from Gravois to 7th
  • Russell from 13th to Broadway
  • 12th St from Ann to Geyer
  • 11th St from Ann to Geyer
  • Menard from Ann to Emmet
  • 10th St from Shenandoah to Lafayette
  • 9th St from Shenandoah to Carroll
  • 8th St from Russell to Marion
  • 6th Street from Hickory to Cerre from 7am to 4pm
  • Clark from 8th to Broadway

The following streets will be closed starting at 3am on Saturday, March 1, 2025 and will reopen at 9pm.

  • Allen Market Lane from 12th to 13th
  • Lynch Street from 7th to 18th
  • Sidney from 7th to 18th

  • Shenandoah from 7th to 18th

  • 11th from Ann to Lynch

The following streets will be closed on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 2pm until 9pm:

  • Gravois Ave (Tucker) from Ann to Lafayette
  • Eastbound Russell Ave at Mississippi Ave
  • 7th St from Marion to Russell
  • Park Ave at Tucker access by permit only by buses, shuttles and taxi cabs

3 No Parking

The following streets will have restricted parking on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 3am-9pm. Non-permitted vehicles will be towed:

  • Park Ave from S. Broadway to 12th
  • Park Ave from 12th to 7th
  • Rutger from Interstate 55 to 12th
  • Carroll from Interstate 55 to 12th
  • Marion from Interstate 55 to 12th
  • Julia from Interstate 55 to 11th
  • Soulard from Interstate 55 to Tucker
  • Morrison from 11th to 9th
  • Hickory from 9th to 12th
  • 11th from Hickory to 12th
  • Menard from Park to Interstate 55
  • 10th from Hickory to Carroll
  • Lafayette from 12th to Menard
  • 8th from Park to Carroll
  • 9th from Interstate 55 to Hickory

4 Ride Share Access Points

The following locations are designated Ride Share pick-up and drop-off points:

  • 13th & Russell (2100 South 13th St)
  • 10th & Marion (1511 South 10th St)
  • South Broadway & Geyer (1822 South Broadway)
  • South 7th & Marion (1530 South 7th St.)
