District 1 is investigating a robbery that occurred on August 18 in the 5800 block of S. Broadway of the Carondelet neighborhood.
The victim, a 19-year-old male, told officers around 7 p.m., he was attempting to purchase marijuana from a suspect he only knows by nickname. During the incident, the suspect produced a handgun and robbed the victim of his money and crossbody purse. The suspect fled in a brown Jeep Grand Cherokee after the robbery.
