IN-CUSTODY: SLMPD officers and detectives just took 45-year-old Demetrius Ingram into custody. He shot at a SLMPD officer last night. The suspect was located in a garage on Lawn Avenue near Fyler Avenue. A firearm was also recovered.

The search included officers across the city, including Mobile Reserve, Intelligence, FAST (Fugitive Apprehension Strike Force), K9, Metro Air Support, South Patrol detectives and the US Marshals.

St. Louis is safer today with this suspect in-custody.

UPDATE: The man wanted in connection to shooting at a SLMPD officer is 45-year-old Demetrius Ingram. He should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach. Call 911. If you have information on his whereabouts please call District 2 detectives at (314) 444-0100.



We are searching for this 45-year-old man. He is wanted for shooting at a SLMPD officer in the 3200 block of S. Kingshighway around 10pm Monday. Thankfully, our officer was not injured.

The officer approached the suspect after a security guard reported the man throwing rocks at vehicles. The officer approached the suspect who immediately fled into heavy brush/trees. While the suspect was fleeing, he fired at our officer.

The suspect is about 6’0” and between 170-180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a red/black jacket and blue jeans. He normally carries a backpack/rolling suitcase.

The suspect should be considered armed and extremely dangerous. DO NOT APPROACH. If you see him, call 911 immediately.
