Information coming soon.

District 6 Community,
As a resident of the City of St. Louis, I take pride in calling our city home.
Throughout my career with the SLMPD, beginning in 2006, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in various roles and gain a wide range of experience. Prior to joining the SLMPD I served for five years as an EMT/Paramedic for the St. Louis Fire Department.
I’ve spent time in the 9th District (current-day 5th) as an officer, the 5th District as a supervisor, and the 4th District as a watch commander. I’ve also served in specialized assignments as a Detective with the Anti-Crime Task Force, as a supervisor of both the Downtown Bike Unit and the 4th District’s Non-Fatal Shooting Team, and as a guest instructor at our Police Academy.
In over two decades of service to the city I’ve witnessed a great deal of change – within the Department and across the city. One thing that has remained unchanged, though, is the unwavering support of residents and business owners, like you, who have dedicated your energy and resources to help ensure our officers can succeed.
We each have a better chance of achieving our goals when we work together, and I look forward to collaborating with each of you to make the 6th District a better place to live, work, and play.
Sincerely,
Captain Matthew Karnowski
Commander, Sixth District
