On February 28, 2026, just before 11 AM, District 3 officers responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of S. 13th St. When they arrived, they located a 19-year-old man who had been shot.
EMS responded and conveyed the victim to the hospital where he died.
SLMPD Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
One person has been detained by Homicide Detectives for questioning.
The investigation remains ongoing.
