District 1 detectives are investigating after a 53-year-old man was robbed in the rear alley of 4400 S. Spring while taking out the trash.
On March 7, 2025, officers received a call for a Hold-Up around 5:30PM and met with the 53-year-old male victim. The victim stated he was taking out the trash when he was approached by an unknown man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black ski-mask, armed with a gun. The suspect demanded the 53-year-old’s belongings, and the victim complied, fearing for his safety. The suspect took off in an unknown direction on foot.
The 53-year-old was not injured during this incident.
