District 4 officers responded to an area hospital where a 30-year-old mad was driven there by a friend after being shot.
The man had been shot in the stomach and was listed in critical condition.
The friend, a 36-year-old man, told officers that he was with the victim in the 4100 block of N. Grand, just before midnight on June 28, when he heard gunfire from across the street.
After realizing his friend had been shot, the 36-year-old man helped the 30-year-old man into his vehicle, and drove him to the hospital.
A scene was located in the 4100 block of N. Grand. The investigation is ongoing.
