19-year-old Grazed by Bullet in Mark Twain Neighborhood

District 6 is investigating a shooting that injured a 19-year-old female on July 2 in the Mark Twain neighborhood.

Around 9:35 p.m., officers received a call from a local hospital for a shooting victim after the teen arrived with a graze wound to her head. The teen advised officers that she was walking in an alley near Union north of Bircher with three other people when gunfire erupted from unknow suspect(s). The victim said she ran and then felt a bullet hit her head.
