District 4 officers responded to the riverfront around 10:00 a.m. on July 5, after a caller observed a body in the river from the Poplar Street Bridge.
Officers coordinated with the Fire Department’s Water Rescue who recovered the body of an unidentified man.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an investigation into the manner and cause of death.
The investigation will be classified as a Suspicious Death pending the results of the Medical Examiner’s Office.
